Έφτασαν οι πολυπόθητες διακοπές και μαζί τους βρέθηκε ο χρόνος για λίγο ψάξιμο. Άρχισα να ψάχνω για ένα γκρουπ από το Austin του Texas, με το όνομα Lavender Hill Express. Δυστυχώς ότι και να έκανα στο net, δεν βρήκα κανένα κομμάτι τους να κατεβάσω. Είχα το Silly Rhymes το οποίο πανέμορφο. Μία country με folk κατάσταση, εξαιρετικά νοσταλγική. Το ανεβάζω γιατί το θεωρώ εξαιρετικό κομμάτι το οποίο εκτιμώ πως τουλάχιστον πρέπει να ακούσετε.

One of Austin's most durable sixties outfits, they were formed in 1966 by Leonard Arnold and Layton DePenning from Baby Cakes, who had approached Rusty Weir and Jess Yaryan of The Wig and Johnny Schwertner from The Reasons Why to form a new band. Baby Cakes manager, booking agent and local D.J. Mike Lucas was chosen to be their manager.
The Sonobeat 45s, which were issued in picture sleeves, were actually recorded in a 'studio' set up at the famous Vulcan Gas Company club. Musically after an initial pop 45, they experimented in a country direction. Indeed when they split, Rusty Wier became an important figure in the local C & W scene and enjoyed a solo career. Schwertner was involved with Plymouth Rock who issued a 45 on Sonobeat and with the Laughing Kind. The remaining members went on to play in Genesee, a later Austin band. Most of them later achieved commercial success in other bands.
